You can apply to Amala Summer School is by application form from Amala website. You will get answer in form of Letter of Acceptance in 5 – 21 days period of time. Any future questions you have please fill free to ask.

Arrival

Upon your arrival on the Belgrade airport you will be welcomed by Amala staff host. You will recognize your host by holding a paper sign saying “Amala School”. After that you may wait for little bit on airport if there are another students expected to arrive any time soon. You will be trasported by car or van to the Amala Summer School location which is about 115km / 70 miles far away from Belgrade airport. Usually it is about 1 hour and 50 minutes drive. The cost of this service is 20 Euros.

In case you arrive earlier or later then Amala School starts you can contact us to provide you a driver. There is a bus from airport to bus station in Belgrade going every hour. Once you get to the Belgrade bus station you will purchase your bus ticket to Valjevo (about 10 euros) let us know by phone what time did your bus start and then we are going to wait for you and pick you up at the Valjevo bus station.

Accommodation

Amala Summer School rooms

Workshop participants live together in a house near the center of Valjevo. Accommodation is in 2 or 3 bad rooms, with shared bathrooms. Cooking and laundry facilities are available. Music, dance and language lesson will be held at the same location.

We will provide three meals a day, of traditional, home-made Yugoslav food. Yugoslav food is simple, but healthy. Meals in the summer typically include meat or fish, fresh vegetables, salads, cheese, eggs and bread. Vegetarian food is available upon request.

4 group lessons per weekday.

Private instrument or singing lessons
For singing only, or one instrument only: 7 days =€815; 14 days=€1550.

III.
Language classes
For language class: 7 days =€670; 14 days=€1230.
3 group lessons per weekday.

IV.
Group singing classes
For one group singing class: 7 days =€670; 14 days=€1230.
2 group lessons per weekday.

V.
Combination course: Language and music (instrumental or vocal)
7 days =€915; 14 days=€1690.
2 private music lessons and 3 group language lessons per weekday

VI.
Combination course: Language and dance
7 days =€790; 14 days=€1450.
2 group dance lessons and 3 group language lessons per weekday

VII.
Combination course: Dance and music (instrumental or vocal)
7 days =€915; 14 days=€1690.
2 private music lessons and 3 group dance lessons per weekday

C.
Advisory

We have found that there is really not time to take more than two
kinds of classes at once.
Group Rates

We can arrange special rates for groups of at least 5 people. Please contact us.
Deposit Required
To reserve a place in the workshop, you must send us a non-refundable deposit of €150, as soon as possible after notification of acceptance. The balance of your tuition will be due when you arrive at the school.

Payment Methods
We prefer that deposits be paid through PayPal, to <galbeno@gmail.com>. For “Type of Payment,” choose “Service”.

If you cannot use PayPal, please contact us for other arrangements.

The balance of your tuition will be due, in cash and in Euros, when you arrive at the school. You can use Visa or Master Card to make cash withdrawals in Belgrade. Alternately, you can pay the balance via PayPal when you arrive at the school (Internet available).
